The 23rd Annual SCOR conference will take place on Friday & Saturday, March 22-23, 2013 at Rackham Graduate School. The conference theme is: The ARTS of H.E.A.L.T.H: Survival, Serenity, and Social Change.The conference will bring together artists, researchers, and educators from a diverse background and schools of thought to produce interdisciplinary conversation.

We insist that our H.E.A.L.T.H.—Home, Education Activism, Leadership, Tenacity, and Healing—as people of color depend on multiple sustaining resources, we believe that the multiplicity and heterogeneity inherent to the expressive arts will sustain and empower these endeavors.
We invite submissions of individual papers, performance pieces, film, visual artwork, and other modes of artistic expression included in this endeavor for social and academic change. We encourage proposals from all academic disciplines and professional schools. Please send an abstract in electronic form of no more than 250 words to scorconferenceinfo@umich.edu
The SCOR Graduate Organization is a network for Rackham graduate and professional students at the University of Michigan. SCOR is dedicated to the social, cultural, and academic well being of students of color of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent. Further, we also include students of other cultures, ethnicities, and international origins.
The Students of Color of Rackham is an outgrowth of the first Black Action Movement (BAM), one of the two campus wide protests in 1970 and 1975 that called for an increase in minority enrollment at the University of Michigan.
